Honors & Awards

As leaders and educators, our mission is to embolden our students to have agency in their personal learning experience.  We also strive to provide opportunities for students to illustrate their knowledge through unique creation, and design.  1:1 access with iPads provides them with a window to explore the world with the tools they will use as adults.  Our iPads, Apple pencils, MacBooks, and Applications allow teachers to create student-driven learning environments filled with choices, creative representations and dynamic real-world exposure.

Our vision is to empower students to be keyholders of their own educational door that opens up a world of infinite opportunities.  Teachers are the vital component in the vision who activate a student’s curiosity and stoke their enthusiasm by teasing out curriculums to be STEM-centered, Project-based and connected to real world issues.  We imagine Woodington students using their iPads to create movies, websites, presentations, graphs, voice recordings, and slide decks.  As we approach a decade being 1:1 with technology, we imagine our students moving forward on this path and using their iPad in ways that they find meaningful to educationally stimulate their brain. 

The impact of being 1:1 has influenced our teachers’ abilities to extend content, boosted students’ interest levels, engagement and understanding.  We will continue impacting our learners by utilizing technology to empower them to be keyholders of their own educational door that opens up a world of infinite opportunities.
