Athletics
Middle school students are automatically eligible for fall sports but must meet academic eligibility requirements for the second semester. For reasons of safety, district policy prohibits sixth graders from playing football.
Woodington Middle School offers the following sports:

Winter: - Basketball (boys and girls) - Cheerleading

Spring: - Soccer - Baseball - Softball

*Students are also able to join the Woodington Cross Country team (during the ) fall, and the Track team (during the spring) which is held at South Lenoir High School.
